Japan Association for Language Teaching

In addition to holding its own events, GILE actively participates in 2 major JALT events each year: the PanSIG conference, held in the spring, and international conference, held in autumn.
JALT PanSIG
PanSIG is an annual conference usually held in May (though 2022 will be held in July; details below), and organized by many of the Special Interest Groups (SIGs) of the Japan Association for Language Teaching (JALT). The conference brings together leading scholars and practitioners in language education from Japan, Asia, and throughout the world. It is meant to be a smaller, more intimate conference than the annual international JALT conference (which is held each fall), and is a place where SIG members can network with each other.
PanSIG大会とは、全国語学教育学会(JALT)の分野別研究部会(SIG)により企画・支援されている年次大会で、日本、アジア、そして世界の語学教育分野の第一線で活躍する研究者や教育者の集いです。今年度は、過去最高の発表者となり、お互いが会員と交流し人脈を広げることができる場となっています。
JACET
The Japan Association of College English Teachers
The Japan Association of College English Teachers (JACET) is a general incorporated association. Since its establishment in 1962, JACET has been striving to improve tertiary level English language education in Japan as well as promote research into language teaching and learning by offering venues for the presentation of research and its application, recognizing college teachers for meritorious work and conducting surveys of academia. With over 2,200 members, JACET is striving to improve English language education and thus contribute to the realization of a better future for our students.
一般社団法人大学英語教育会（JACET)は、1962年の設立以来、本学会は大学をはじめとする高等教育機関における英語教育及び言語教育関連の、研究・実践結果の発表の場の提供、大学教員の表彰、教育現場の調査研究を通じて、日本の大学英語教育の改善及び英語教育に係る研究の発展に寄与することを目的として活動しています。 2,200名を超える会員の皆様と共に、英語教育の改善と発展に寄与する学会として、次世代の人間の教育に当たる責任と気概を持って活動します。
